Kampot Pepper Promotion Association
The KPPA is the organisation that ensures Kampot pepper is genuine farmers and maintains it’s GI status. Generally the organisation looks to promote Kampot pepper around the world. Starling Farm is a key member of the Kampot Pepper Promotion Association since 2010.
Protected Geographical Indication
Kampot pepper has a Protected Geographical Indication from the European Government since 2016. Being the first first Cambodian GI registered in the EU.
Cambodian Organic Agriculture Association
To produce the Kampot pepper, Starling Farm uses a sustainable organic farming system and is therefore also labeled ‘Organic’ by COrAA.
Approved by EcoCert
Starling Farm is approved by EcoCert, an international organic certification organization in charge of the control of the products of the KPPA’s members. They ensure that Starling Farm meet the criteria of Geographical Indication as well as the strict specifications requirements regarding Kampot Pepper by providing inspections at the producer level and analysis on the products.
Protected Geographical Indication
Kampot pepper has a Protected Geographical Indication from the Cambodian Government. Starling Farm is a certified producer of Kampot pepper.
Kampong Speu Palm Sugar Promotion Association
The KSPS is the organisation that ensures Kampong Speu sugar is genuine farmers and maintains it’s GI status. Generally the organisation looks to promote Kampong Speu sugar around the world.
Kampot Pepper Farmers’ Association (KPFA)
Starling Farm along with the other small Kampot pepper producers formed the KPFA association to to share and safeguard the knowledge and skills associated with pepper farming.
